Sunday, July 25, 2021 // First-Class Train to Paris – Day at Leisure

Following disembarkation, you will be met by a local representative and transferred directly to the Lyon rail station to board the train first-class to Paris.

Upon arrival in Paris, you will be met by your driver and be transferred to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore Paris at your own pace. Lunch and dinner are on your own.

Monday, July 26, 2021 // Paris City Tour & Seine River Cruise

Paris City Tour & Seine River Cruise
Depart from the hotel by minibus with an experienced local guide for a 4 hour and 30-minute Small Group Paris City Tour & Seine River Cruise. See the city’s most famous monuments while learning of its fascinating history.

Begin your panoramic tour on the right bank of Paris where you will drive past sites including the Place de la Concorde, a main square situated at the end of the Champs Elysees; the ornate opera house Palais Garnier; Napoleon’s Column, a bronze memorial to Napoleon Bonaparte; the Arc de Triomph, one of the most famous monuments in Paris; and the Louvre, the world’s largest art museum and home to the Mona Lisa; along with other historically important sites. Enjoy photo stops at both the Eiffel Tower and the Notre Dame Cathedral.

Continue to the left bank to see sights including the lively Latin Quarter; La Sorbonne, a famous university; the Pantheon, a former church and now burial ground of many well-known figures like Victor Hugo and Marie Curie; the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens, and Napoleon’s Tomb at Les Invalides.

Cross over the Pont Neuf, the oldest bridge in Paris, to visit the charming bohemian village of Montmarte. Spend time here to see the iconic Sacre Coeur Basilica and visit the Place du Tertre, where the now famous Modernist artists and painters used to display their works.

Conclude your tour with a one-hour cruise on the River Seine with commentary on the historical and architectural sites along the riverbanks, including a unique view of the monumental Eiffel Tower. The tour ends at the Pont de l’Alma Bridge. Return to the hotel on your own or continue exploring the sights and sounds of Paris as you please.

The remainder of the afternoon is at your leisure. Lunch and dinner are on your own.

Depart Hotel
Check-out of the hotel and meet your driver in the hotel lobby to transfer to the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport for your flight home.
