Sunday, July 18, 2021 // Vancouver

Enjoy a wonderful overview of the Pacific Northwest on tour of Vancouver and the adjacent North Shore. Wind through downtown, Gastown, and the Lions Gate Bridge. Visit Granville Island, snap photos from the Vancouver Lookout’s observation deck and admire Stanley Park’s famous indigenous peoples’ story poles. The teetering Capilano Suspension Bridge and the glass floors of the Cliffwalk will make your hair rise. Stop at Grouse Mountain for a ride on the breathtaking Red Super Skyride before you’re transported back to Vancouver. Dinner is on your own

Monday, July 19, 2021 // Vancouver to Kamloops via the Rocky Mountaineer                 

Early this morning board the Rocky Mountaineer train at the Vancouver Station. Travel from the coastal city of Vancouver to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. On today’s journey you will see dramatic changes in scenery, from the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley, through forests and winding river canyons surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade Mountains, to the desert-like environment of the BC Interior. Highlights include the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River.

Breakfast and lunch are served onboard. Our day concludes as the Rocky Mountaineer travels along the shores of Kamloops Lake into Kamloops in the early evening. Enjoy free time and dinner on your own in the city of Kamloops.

Tuesday, July 20, 2021 // Kamloops to Lake Louise via the Rocky Mountaineer                                       

Early in the morning, we board the Rocky Mountaineer train at the Kamloops Station to continue our journey east to the mighty Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. Travel across ranchlands, along rocky lakeshores, over high mountain passes, and through the remarkable tunnels that form part of the rich rail history of the Canadian Rockies. Highlights include Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, the climb over Rogers Pass, the Kicking Horse Canyon, and the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies.

Breakfast and lunch are served onboard. Our rail journey ends upon arrival in Lake Louise in the early evening. Enjoy free time, dinner on your own, and overnight in Lake Louise.

Wednesday, July 21, 2021 // Lake Louise: Icefields and Glaciers             

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departing via deluxe coach on a full-day tour. Travel along one of the most scenic highways in the world as you journey to Jasper National Park on the Icefields Parkway. The Columbia Icefield is one of the largest accumulations of ice south of the Arctic Circle and one of the most accessible icefields in North America. At the Columbia Icefield Centre, time is provided for lunch on your own after you have had a chance to experience the Columbia Icefield Glacier Adventure.

Tour the Athabasca Glacier in a giant six-wheel drive Ice Explorer vehicle while your guide explains the history of this ancient glacier and points out interesting geological features. Afterward, stop at Glacier Skywalk for gorgeous views over Sunwapta Valley before arriving back in Lake Louise this afternoon. Tonight, enjoy a group dinner at the hotel.

Thursday, July 22, 2021 // Lake Louise to Banff

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and time at leisure to explore beautiful Lake Louise on your own.

After lunch on your own, a half-day tour takes us into Yoho National Park to view some of its natural wonders. Among the attractions are the Spiral Tunnels, Emerald Lake, and a natural rock bridge that spans the Kicking Horse River. At the end of the tour we continue to Banff.

Friday, July 23, 2021 // Banff at Leisure

Today you will have an entire day to spend exploring Banff on your own. Optional activities include soaking in the mineral pools at Upper Hot Springs, enjoying a nature walk on nearby mountain trails, visiting Banff’s historic museums, cruising on Lake Minnewanka or playing a round of golf at The Fairmont Banff Springs.

Saturday, July 24, 2021 // Banff to Calgary

After breakfast at the hotel, depart on a morning sightseeing tour of Banff. Among the points of interest are Bow Falls, Lake Minnewanka, Surprise Corner, and the Hoodoos. The Banff Gondola is a spectacular eight-minute gondola ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain for 360-degree views of the Banff townsite and its surrounding mountains. After lunch at a local restaurant, depart Banff by deluxe coach for your transfer to Calgary.

Continue to Calgary with a visit to the Calgary Tower prior to hotel check-in and dinner on your own.

Sunday, July 25, 2021 // Depart Calgary
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and transfer to the Calgary International Airport for your flight home.

Cancellation Schedule: Cancellation penalties apply once deposit is paid, so please review policy below.

Airfare is not included. Global Tracks will book your air arrangements for a $75 ticketing fee, or you may choose to handle your own reservation.

Passports: Passports are required for all guests and must be valid for six months after the end of the tour.

Travel Insurance:  Global Tracks offers optional travel insurance. Purchase within 15 days of deposit for additional benefits.

Cancellation Penalties: All cancellations must be made in writing to Global Tracks. Any payment to Global Tracks constitutes your acceptance of the terms and conditions set out herein, including but not limited to the Cancellation terms.  Total Fare calculation includes Rocky Mountaineer fare, pre- or post-trip package and extended land programs.  Airfare and Travel Insurance are non-refundable once ticketed/purchased.
